To enlighten everyone on earth except the 900,000 Estonian speakers, the term ‘Risttee’ is Estonian for intersection. That’s how we see this blog, as an intersection between cultures and ideas, not just between the UK and Estonia but for everyone with an interest in cultural exchange.
While blogs like this tend to evolve organically, the hope is to provide regular posts from many different contributors adding colour, insight and opinions on the events and programs hosted by the British Council. This could be a Q&A with a celebrated author, surveys highlighting our favourite cultural experiences, or even what we ate for lunch today if that happens to be interesting enough.
We also want our readers to participate. If you have a story idea or anything you want to share – from pictures to videos to recipes – just drop is a line at britishcouncilestonia@gmail.com. You can also propose something in the comments section and we’ll see if it fits here.
